April Bloom is a net working site; with the aim of bringing together like-minded people from all walks of life, to bring to light, the damage that has occurred to Planet Earth over the decades. Economic boom, globalization and population explosion has lead to exploitation of natural resources and in turn damages to the ecosystem that holds all forms of life together

Our theme for 2010 is “environmental awareness through photography” as we believe that a picture can speak louder than words. In conjunction with World environment day on 5th of June we are trying to gather photographs from a group of photographers across India and exhibit at Alliance Francaise, so that the public could have a feel of the dark and beautiful sides of the environment and therefore to protect it for our future generations. Our ultimate goal is to persuade people to organise community based projects in their locality towards tackling unsustainable and consumption based culture;
